EV Express addon for Blender 2.80 EEVEE

EV Express is an add-on that speeds up tremendously the workflow setting up a scene in EEVEE to showcase your model. No more hassle adjust all the render settings, shadows, contact shadows, probes, etc. You ever were in the situation that you quickly wanted to setup a scene but at the end it took a bit longer? Now you can be really productive in case you need a scene to showcase your model. In a very recent update I included the Global Shader. The video below shows the benefits of the Global Shader.

I love how every add-on basically tells us that out-of-the-box Blender is a complex, unintuitive, unproductive piece of software. But when users dare say something ever so slightly critical, and it becomes a huge problem and the sect falls on them. Especially for 2.8 which was supposed to be so user-friendly and fast to work with.
I see it as follows:
Blender software is a beast qua possibilities (and just a few Mb), but ….. you have to do e-ve-ry-thing yourself. There is not even one material ready to use. For every single thing you need to press quite some buttons sometimes they are scattered over the place. It’s not a click… click.. render app. And maybe thats good. But often I wish there was a kind speed-mode. That’s why I am developing this addon.

I have quite some plans for the addon since I see good benefits using it.
– Previews of the backdrops in the menu. (Need to find out how to work with template_icon_view, python code).
– A surprise, the only thing I want to reveal about it is; “EV Express goes turbo”. That is one button that really will save many man hours. On Twitter I am counting down from 20.
– Some improvements like a more dynamic menu.
The plan is to bring out weekly updates. And that turbo-button will take a few weeks.
