As requested by some of my contacts, I finally made a simple tutorial about how to design in Blender 2.8 voxel style pixelated blocky landscapes or abstract geometries using two different techniques.

The main subjects in this video are: Subdivisions, displace modifier, remesh modifier, camera depth of field in EEVEE and the fantastic Cubster addon.

  1. Cool stuff, thanks for sharing. Is the version for Blender 2.8 that you mentioned available publicly somewhere? The github link only has version 0.5 of Cubester from 2016. While that one works great for me in Blender 2.79, I couldn't get it to run in 2.8.

  2. I still dont understand why you do videos of steps to do in blender.
Its easy to record what you do on a screen with blender but you cannot see nothing in the screen if you are learning.
