Same can be achieved with after effects, radial wipe with a bit of effects of drop shadow.. but this will help in understanding the workflow in blender etc..

Radial wipe isn't going to work for a signature. Radial wipe isn't going to let the curve change size and shape as it draws either. Animating a signature in AE is definitely possible but it's not as trivial as you make it seem here.
