Video: How do Window Blinds work?

When I started this animation I had questions about how Window Blinds worked. I studied the mechanism on my own blinds and then I looked at a few other helpful websites. It turns out it really wasn’t too hard to understand! I used drivers to the raising and tilting of the individual slats. For the strings I used bezier curves and the hook modifier to help me manipulate it.

It would be interesting to know how the various mechanisms are animated. Is it possible to animate the winding of a string? Unfortunately, I have so far only found videos on finished animations of window blinds … Will you create a tutorial on the subject maybe? I would really appreciate it.
