What is it?

One Shader to Rule is a FREEE material setup and workflow to allow you to quickly create stunning and memory optimized photoreal materials for EEVEE.

How do I use it?

You need to download the .blend file and watch the video-- it will explain EVERYTHING! Get it here.

Hi, this is a great setup, but for some reason when is edit my uvs, it doesnt update in the 3d viewport. Do i need to add a mapping node, or change something in the texture coordinates node?

  2. Hello Chipp,

greate Job and awesome materials appoache which saves me a lot of time. Do you have a good hint how to duplicate a material with new texture? everytime if I copy a material and change the image texture node the original material is also changed.

    Regards
    Konstantin

Yes, you need to use the copy button next to the material name to create a new material. Then rename it and add your new texture.

  4. Hi Chipp.

This is fantastic set of materials and has really sped up my eevee workflow for sure. However, sometimes when I duplicate the material the colour or roughness maps gets adopted by another shader. So for example if I use the cw-wood light shader on a new object and click new material in shader editor and assign a carpet texture to it. For some reason the previous objects with this shader will also adopt the carpet texture. In some cases just the roughness or colour image will be applied... but its almost as if blender gets confused. Is there any ways that this can be avoided? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Warm Regards
    Chris
