Hi,

My site has been around for a while, but I'd like to point out that I have started to create new materials that works well with Blender 2.8. I really try to get as close as possible to "real world images" and still they are free to use for you. Licensed as CC0.

First up is "wood" and "concrete", but more will come very soon. The old files for 2.7x are of course still there :).

Not only that. They are 100% Procedural and you don't download an image, but the .blend file so that you have the possibility to change the node tree to suit your specific need.

Place to fetch it? Well, it's here.

About the Author

My real name is Joakim Tornhill, but most people know me as "Blender Insight"... the procedural node & material guy :). I love how Blender can turn a simple sphere in to a photo realistic cherry, orange, planet or football....without using any external sources like images at all. That is amazing! However, I can do other Blender stuff as well (been at it since 2012) and share my knowledge as much as I can on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/c/jtornhill

In most cases, yes... but a few nodes is still missing in "Eevee", so not all things work. When it comes to glass and transparent material you also need to think differently between the two render engines.
