A YoYo story

Hello BlenderNation,

I invite you to watch this new episode of my "Bobot". A rusty and slightly overweight robot that I am having fun trying to animate the best I can.

Blender was really a great tool. I am so happy that, years ago, after my beloved Softimage3D passed away, I gave Blender a chance. At first, all was so strange but then, week after week, I started to get more confident and, even if a lot there's still to learn, I can say that Blender is today a great and professional 3D package.

In this second episode, I made I also used dynamic paint to simulate the trail that the yo-yo left on the snow while rolling down the slope.

Even if I love to build rigs from scratch, this time I used RIGGIFY to animate the Robot and it worked quite well. For the yo-yo, was interesting, switch between traditional animation and rigid body simulation. Rigid body simulation helped very much making the yo-yo movement more natural.

I hope you will enjoy this one.
Have fun :)
