I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Usually there is so much bruh-ha-ha for a new movie in development but it seems like this one is sorta camouflaged by 2.8 itself.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing this, that girl is so cute! (although in my browsing I came across an her image representing something I've really come to dislike in modern animations: the know-it-all 'smirk'.)

Which made me realize: why are there no women on the Spring crew? (or even amongst the entire group of noticable Blender developers?) I work in engineering and the rise of females in engineering is dramatic from my earlier days.

Last question/comment? Does this film project have a particular technical challenge it is addressing, or is it just a complex exercise for 2.8?
