Blender 2.8 Latest Interface Goodies

1

Gottfried Hofmann writes:

The development of Blender 2.8 is still ongoing. The latest interface goodies are visual alerts when changing a keyframed property, the hostname of a machine as metadata in rendered images, access to material settings from the node editor and a new primitive for the Grease Pencil: The Arc!

  1. The keyframing change seems to have introduced an unwanted change. In the video, after the second keyframe is added, the values boxes remain highlighted green all the time - even when moving away from a keyframed frame. In 2.79, but value box changed colour (yellow) to indicate a keyframe was present at the current frame. I think the old behavior was more useful than the new behavior!

I hope the grease pencil Arc tool will be developed further. The worst problem with Adobe Illustrator's "Arc tool" is that you cannot set start and end angles. I do not always want a 90 degree arc, it is very limiting. I might want a 30 degree arc that starts at 90 degrees (12 o'clock) thru to 150 degrees.
