Scale with shift+x constraint would have spared you the hassle to realign the mesh again.
You are right, thx for the input… but I also love to realign… haha
At 8:21 you move (G-Key) the small piece to the right. As far as I see it, there is no snapping tool enabled. I know that the CTRL-Key-Modifier is working while moving, but only for for current snapping tool. This is vertex snapping at 8:21. How do you move the little piece by 0.5 m?

Thx. You cant see it because the screencast keys cant display this while the G-move operator is activated. I press G, then X and then type in 0.5 to move it 0.5 units.
