[non-Blender] Natron Needs Maintainer and Funds
After the shutdown of ManuelBastioniLAB, Natron is also in trouble – they need a new lead to maintain the project, and need funds too.

Due to development was funded and stopped from Inria from 2013 to 2018 and the team needs maintainer for Natron.

I’ve entered the Natron community in the same time I boarded Blender (2.78), and in these past 2 years Blender community has been growing constantly because there´s a well planed organization and the code is open source.
I understand that Natron building on VSE is terrible. I don´t know much about what libraries are necessary but what was started with Natron, I´ve included it in some of the Blender videos I do.
There are easy tools to nodal compositing in Natron, but it is a reality that needs maintenance.
In addition: Porting the code to windows (largest community base users without question) could be the first step.
Natron has been available for Windows for a very long time. As in ‘go to the website, visit the downloads section, click the button to start downloading’.
Also, what do you mean when you say “I understand that Natron building on VSE is terrible”?
I didn’ t talk about “download” the .exe package. I was talking about the deploy version after compiling.

Does Natron have a donation page, a Patreon, or anything like it?
I see the Bountysource page, but that’s just for bounty-driven tasks seeking to be fulfilled, right?
I was asking for Patreon but it seems they prefer to Bountysource, sorry.
Bountysource is more for open issues or request features to fund.
No, there isn’t one. The projects has no developers. There is noone to receive the money.

In first place we are looking for coders who have the skills to read and write code for Natron. We need a new core developer who can take the lead.
Then we can take care about financial support, searching for sponsors and people willing to donate.
