Hey everyone! In this Blender 2.80 video I wanted to show how to quickly create volumetric effect in Eevee rendering engine. Tutorial covers both the basic and slightly more advanced setup using Blender's Noise Texture and Color Ramp nodes. You can also get the Chocofur models used in this tutorial for free, just check this link.

When I plug the Noise texture into my volume, the entire volumetric effect disappears (as if Density is a homogeneous 0). Is this because I'm using a Mac? Or is it that I'm using the first-day version of the Beta?
Any help/advice?
Hey Lowell, I've just tested it on my Mac and unfortunately got the same result as you - volume works well by itself but noise texture makes it disappear... I think it's just a bug, would be great if it got reported :-)
Same here. I tweeted with #b3d, but I'm not sure that's the best way to get it fixed. Not finding it at https://developer.blender.org/maniphest/project/2/type/Bug/
but error messages are noted here: https://twitter.com/actualmattjones/status/1070007151433789440
Update:
Bug was submitted by Sven Stober (@StoberSven on Twitter) yesterday. Should be resolved shortly! Keep updated here: https://developer.blender.org/T58793
It`s working! Maaany thanks! We have a nice and fast volumetric in Blender, at last!
Thanks for this useful short tutorial!
Tell me one thing though, the shadows of the objects are quite harsh - is there a simple way to make them smooth according to the fog density?
Thanks for the tutorial!
By the way,I registered my Chocofur account yesterday but can't sign in,it's shows [error Account is disabled],don't know how to fix it.
