  1. Thank you for making this tutorial. I have a suggestion: when you make the adjustments to each lamp, you first do the adjustment, and then you say "that's good." But you don't give the viewer any way to understand why you think it's good. You don't explain what you're trying to accomplish with each lamp. Why are the settings all different? Why do you feel that particular settings are "good"? You don't give us any of this thought process. Without that, all we can do is imitate what you have already done, but we still have no idea why any of it worked or how we might vary it in order to meet the needs of different situations.

After watching this video, all I know is the location of the various mesh creation tools and lamp configuration tools, which I knew already. The important things -- the thought process of someone assessing the configuration of a set of lamps as they proceeded toward a real solution -- remains opaque.

My suggestion is this: in addition to explaining what you are clicking on, and what values to set, please say more words about what each thing is actually for. You have 3 lamps. Why don't you only have one? You set them to different strengths from each other. Why? You position them at certain heights. Why? You remove shadows from two of them but not the third. Why? Please explain why you do each thing, as you do it.

    • I glad you asked it brother. I thought of this thing to explain every setting to the users. But wait! there's a problem in that technique to explain every single setting. I was used to watch a lot of blender videos in which I found they used to explain it and that's really good but I was not progressing in my skill but progressing only in my knowledge. I spent lot of hours on watching blender videos but I was not a productive artist. When I try to do what I wanted I could not do it in blender. Then I found something a good solution for being productive ,i.e. discovering and emerging myself into blender, then I learnt a lot of new things and that made little bit more productive. Then I thought to share with the blender users what I learnt, but wait a minute, I have to make the video in a way that it is short less than 10 minutes and everyone can follow it easily. Let the blender users discover it what will happen if I change the light settings, what will happen if do not add the light probe, what will happen if I keep only one area light or what will happen if I change the position of area light.

I liked your suggestion though I will do my best to explain from next time.

      • Pardon my ignorance but where is that shorter than 10 minutes philosophy coming from? Is it because of those obnoxiously up and down jumping and to fast talking jackasses that are all over YouTube or that bs claim people can't concentrate any longer any more ( Because they are used to those jackasses).
        Two things here:
First, Blender and 3D in general are very complex things to explain. Dedicate the time it needs to do so.
Second, Blender users in general are intelligent people and are well able to digest quite some amount of information.
        Give them what they diserve.
