We are happy to announce the release of something we've been working on for a long time.

Blenderkit is a new online platform made for Blender users, creators, and developers. We hope to bring a new momentum into the opensource world by introducing several innovations we've been working on.

We provide an online database of materials, brushes and models that can be accessed directly from Blender via our add-on which makes your workflow considerably faster and more effective thanks to the new simple drag and drop feature. The database of materials and brushes is completely for free, while the models will be available through subscription. Now we are in release stage, where also the models database can be used for free.

BlenderKit is bringing a new way of sharing the income from subscriptions with the creators called Fair Share, and we are the first to use this type of system for providing creative assets. Our goal is also to give users influence over improvements to Blender so from all transactions, a 15% fee is charged to support Blender development for starting creators.

We're looking forward to help everyone to create good quality content faster and easier.

BlendetKit add-on is currently released for Blender 2.79, while the 2.80 version is in progress.

    Hi
    I get a strange message

    "No matching result found
    HTTSConnectionPool(host='blender kit.com',port=443; Max Retries exceeded

    I work in mac
Looks an amazing add-on for what I can see
    thanks

    • This looks like a standard error for being offline, but I will check if there might be connection problems. Our servers should be scalable, but it's possible that with many new users coming there might be moments when the server is temporarily overeloaded.

Hi still no luck with this
I believe it is something out the SSL certificate

        • Hi, what version of blender do you use please? is it 2.79b? We test on macs every day, but it might be some build of blender not supporting the library we use to connect to servers..

    • Not now, it will be on the web in the future. We tried hard to make the browsing convenient directly from blender, and the webpage we perceive mainly as a place where you just need to get your API key.

    • The discussion here happens in English..
The question is if models download is paid:
      - until 24. November, all models are free too.
      - after this date, the models will be accessible after subscribing.
