Hey everyone! In this quick Blender 2.8 video I wanted to show my way of creating basic but realistic shaders based only on a single image texture (by splitting it to R G B channels). Hope you find it helpful!

  1. Hey Chocofur, this is the same work-flow you went over in the conference right? I have to say that was quite an eye opener for me! Thank you! Also, partaking in your interior tutorial as an early backer... can't wait to see what you have instore for us!

    • Hey Wyatt, yes it's basically the same technique I've shown during the conference. I just wanted to make it plain and simple in that video, without getting into the all adjustments you can actually do using the nodes.

Big thanks for your support and kind words, believe or not it really motivates :-)

  2. Hi, just a note: the bump node had left e unsatisfied for a long time, since it couldn't replicate the look of "displacement" as it was in older cycles versions. Until I realized that the parameter to adjust is "Distance" and not "Strenght". Try it yourself, you'll notice how better the bump is ;)
