'The Forest of Symbiob' is a fun 'documentary' about how alien life has developed a weird symbiosis. Enjoy!
In the Forest of Symbiob, we spot Klax ambling among the balloon trees carrying his lifelong companions, the Glydoos. They are looking for food high up in the trees, but how will they get it?

Symbiob is a strange, wonderful eco-system, where all creatures and plants have evolved to help each other in order to live happy lives; a world where working together proves more successful than predation or aggression, resulting in some strange, colourful, humourous characters and relationships. Your safari guide is Hayden Turner, a wildlife television presenter, now a global household name through his work for the National Geographic Channel, and former senior keeper at Taronga Zoo, Sydney, Australia.
Symbiob started out as a simple Flash (now Adobe Animate) 2D animated series. For the last few years, I have been converting Symbiob into 3D, using Blender, rendered in Cycles. All textures are procedural (no bitmaps) which means I never have to worry about closeup shots, and it also helps give Symbiob its own style. You can still view the original Flash series at www.symbiob.com - it will give you a taste of the other environments yet to be remade in 3D!
Speaking of which, if Symbiob continues to do well on the internet, it will make for a strong pitch on a crowdfunding website, so PLEASE send your love and votes for the Suzanne Award 2018 (link above), and on DeviantArt.com/Symbiob.
If any of you Blender users out there have any technical questions or feedback, please leave a comment.
