1 Hour Architectural Modeling Challenge - Zaha Hadid Building

Dimitar writes:

In this one hour challenge, I attempt to model a Zaha Hadid building proposal by first analysing the geometry of the buildings, setting up a template based on arrays, and then going through the nuances of capturing the original expression, without getting bogged down by the details. I quickly discovered how short an hour is for a modeling exercise (it took me almost as hour to create a title graphic and many more hours to edit one hour's video).

I am an architect, based in London and I have been using Blender since 2007. It is one of the essential tools that I use daily at my job to express design intent. Having seen the great potential that Blender has for architects and designers, I have become inspired to create tutorials that qucikly allow potential newcomers to be able to realise ideas.

  1. HI ! Thanks for the tutorial. I am a student architect and I would like to ask if you could please do series of tutorials on how to model organic structure (buildings) for beginners.
