Node Based Texture Painting in Blender 2.8

    I'm sorry but this doesn't work - the layers don't build, each one paints separately. So, my base material shows dark red as in your demonstration but then when i switch to Colour_add, the plane turns black and the paint is the same as the base colour. Switching to Colour_multiply turns the plane white and the painting is as before.

    How do i get the layers to build? I must be missing something despite having watched your video over and over, and i've tried two versions of Blender - an earlier 2.80 and now the official beta release.

    Have the later releases disabled this somehow or is it a dreaded Blender switch buried somewhere that i've not flicked? Any help would greatly improve my sanity.

    Thanks for making the video, it's a really attractive idea if i can get it to behave.
