Video: What is Sound? A Fundamental Understanding of Sound

0

Teddy T. writes:

Ever wonder why does water sound the way it does?  How do your speakers work? Or how do vinyl records work?  Sound is everywhere, but at its core:  What is sound?  Also- What are sound waves?  This video explains the key concepts behind sound using in-depth examples and animations.

This animation was done entirely with Blender using 6 main scenes and a few offshoot scenes specifically for the rewind sections. It took about 5 weeks to model and animate while rendering while I was sleeping and on weekends. This is but the 4th video I've made, so I'm still learning and improving the aesthetic quality of the videos. If you have any input whether it be aesthetic, blender recommendations, or content related, I would be more than happy to hear it!

I am an engineer that wants to get others excited about engineering as well. I worked 8 years as an electrical and mechanical engineer on subsystems in machines that make microchips, specifically on Ion Implanters. I want to inspire others to get into engineering, so I decided to learn Blender. Eventually, I left my engineering job so I could make high-quality educational engineering videos for YouTube. My hobbies are: cooking, inner tube water polo, frisbee, and lindy hop dancing.
