Let's take a deeper dive into Blender 2.8 since it's now far enough along where it makes enough people used to version 2.79 feel a bit confused on first interactions with it - Quite a few things have moved around at this point!
AND, it’s also far enough along that it probably won’t stray too far from how it looks right now once we get the official main release.
So that makes it about the perfect time to take an overview of where everything has moved to and also a look at some cool new things we can play with too.
We'll take a look at these and more...
- Shortcut Changes
- Multi-Object Editing
- Quick Favorites
- Combining Render Engines
- Texture Painting
- Wireframes
- Loads of Viewing Options!
- Converting a simple 2.79 Cycles Scene
- Probes
- Eevee Shaders

nice overview of Blender 2.8 new features :)
Thanks! :) Aidy.
I open Blender 2.8, made some edition and then I decided to close the window. Something remarkable happened: Blender asked me if I wanted save the file!! This is a progress!
Hello. This has been an option for quite awhile already. You can select 'confirm quit on exit', or similar wording, within the User Preferences. Happy Blending! :)
Update - look for 'prompt quit' within the User Preferences.
I was happy ahead of time: I tried to make changes to the file and then click "new". Blender opened a new file without asking me if I wanted to save the changes. We still have a long way to go ...
The ` symbol next to the 1 key is not a tilde - that's the squiggle above the letter ñ. On my UK keyboard, tilde is on Shift + #, just above the right shift key.
Ah, yeah I had a sneaking suspicion that wasn't really a tilde, looks like the one i am referring to is actually a 'grave'.
Thanks for the comment, i'll give the pinned comment an update! :)
Aidy.
