I’d wager you might achieve pretty much the same result in Godot, Blend4Web, Armory and what not without having to pay your bloody quid. By the by, that puzzle concept looks like a rip-off of what Scratch and Stencyl have had for a long while now. Simply not gonna be paying a fortune as long as there are capable open source alternatives and pretty good ones methinks.

Thank you for expressing your opinion. There is no such thing as a free lunch ;) Both Godot and Armory are not web/mobile friendly and our past creation Blend4Web is no longer actively developed. The Puzzles is based on Google Blockly but it is much more than that. We made creating rich interactive experiences accessible to non-coders.
$290 doesn’t look like a fortune to me )
This is always a controversial topic! But for my project, I am happy that such a thing as Verge3d exists. Everything else would be way to complicated for me. And I’m not really sure, that the alternatives are as capable. But of course nobody is forced to buy this!
