Bricker – Photoreal LEGO/Minecraft Simulations

10

The Bricker add-on generates some pretty amazing LEGO-like models.

Bricker is an addon for Blender that converts any 3D Mesh into a photo-real 3D brick model. You can also use Bricker to generate animated brick models from keyframed animation, simulations (such as fluid, smoke and fire, or soft-body animations), armature, and much more.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. It would be great to see this in 2.8, with Eevee! ( the release notes mentioned that the script should be ready for use in 2.8 when the beta is released )

  2. @Bart Why was my comment about the Remesh modifier deleted! I think users ought to know about other ways to do things in Blender without a paid addon.

  3. just bought it! (together with plastic library and assemble me)
it works and looks great! having fun making my first tests :)

I only encounter some issues when I try to render a bricked object with materials from the library. Nine times out of ten I get some "cuda crash"

I hope to solve this! Btw... very happy overall of this product

  4. Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial for the Bricker Addon, for blender 2.8, I recently got it and I don’t really know how to make it work. I tried playing around with it but I didn’t really get anything.
