Low Poly Nature Project - Forest and Meadows

7

I love low poly style art and noticed this video by EmacEArt. All modeling done in Blender, rendered in Unity.

I love to create complete 3D environment. My “small universum” are done from the scratch, starting from a concept and a first draft through creating models in 3D software. Next, I compose a scene, set light, do postprocessing and finally finish on the rendering engine. The scene you can see is composed of over 100 3D models. I create this in Blender and Unity.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Love this, nice work. I'd be interested in knowing what the role of Unity was, could this have not been done just in blender? I've never looked at unity but would like to create some large environments so I wondered if it might be of use.
