OTOY renderer Octane in version 2019.x runs at 3.2 GigaRays/s on the new Quadro RTX 6000 (= RTX 2080) compared to 0.4 GigaRays/s on the Quadro P6000 (=GTX 1080 Ti). That's 8-times the performance!
@2:01 - Price too high? Maybe you should buy Octane and RTX 2070 for the price of single GTX 1080Ti with Cycles for free and get better performance..oh and also the ability to render out of core with system RAM..
If this is that way... this is even CHEAP!!!!
But I assume Octane is taking leverage of the new RT hardware, right? So for cycles this performance would not be present until Cycles implement the appropriate support, right?
Nvidia release VGA GPU Nvidia RTX for realtime render. I see in the news It work for unreal.
Do you have test Nvidia RTX (not GTX) ?
Are that Realtime bake for Flip Fluid and other Particles ?
Realtime for render Cycles ?
Realtime for Rendered mode (Shift + Z ) ?
I hope Nvidia give Mr. Ton Rosendaal sample of hardware GPU RTX 2070 or 2080 for test in blender3d.
Thx u.
I am forget the question of non this topic, are that GPU nvidia RTX 2070 or 2080 make 10x fast mining Bitcoin ?
Thx u.
This is great, thanks for the thoughts, and agreed that this could be great for Blender. Quick typo in your bio: “proffesional” -> “professional”
