Cheap Kinect as a Scanner for 3D Printing + Blender Tutorial

3D scanning is a lot of fun, but it usually requires a lot of tedious cleanup work afterwards – especially if you want to use the model for 3D printing. Here's an overview of the process in Blender.

This video shows my procedure of scanning a Person and preparing the scan for 3D Printing. It's not a modern method but I also show simple ways to fix big messy meshes in blender.
