Stylized character designs

In between projects, I have a lot of fun creating new character designs. This exercise converts popular flat design character style into conceptual and geometrical 3D style.

Focusing on simplicity and avoiding overwhelming detail and textures is a big challenge but results in modular design and animation.

As animation system, I decided not to use a rig, but curves and hooks, which allow me to create reusable and easy to adapt character components for my motion graphics.
