I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Robert has done amazing works of art with Blender for as long as I remember that most users can only admire and aspire to produce if they live long enough. In fact I don't think anyone else has explored the potential of Blender to be used creatively as much as he has.
I hope the budget will include having some examples of his craft grace the walls of the new Blender offices along with other excellent work for visitors to see and be impressed by.

  2. Thanks so much, Bart, for the highlight! What a wonderful surprise!

And thank you to BIG_FAN for the incredibly kind and positive words.

I love Blender and am grateful to all those who make it possible, as well as those, like Bart, who help promote it and its community.

Last year (2017) I made the jump from Blender Internal renderer to Cycles, and I am enjoying all the new possibilities!

I posted a thread at BlenderArtists.org with over 100 free Cycles projects (with blend files and/or settings) for generating custom and complex procedural textures:

A very heartfelt thank you to all those who expressed kindness toward, and interest in, my works over the years.

Take care, and best wishes to all of you!
