I'm allowed to brag a little once in a while, right? Well, I just logged in to and was greeted with the following message:

14,000 stories - I don't think this is what I expected when I dove into blogging 12.5 years ago :)

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

You have done such a wonderful job. Thank you for all your work to bring us the best information on this amazing software of Blender.

  2. Well done Bart, not many people would be so dedicated. I hope you continue to be happy in this wee niche you have and will keep doing a wonderful job here and now at Blender Artists. I was thinking recently that the public face of Blender has very much improved over the years. I am sure we can give you a pat on the back for your part in that. Blender 2.8 will see an arrival on a swarm of professional artists I think and thanks to you and others who tend the wiki, make videos etc and keep the development neat and orderly we seem ready for them :)

  3. Bart is really really wonderful human, if he not make this magazine then I (sandeep basak) from India never turn myself a blender professional artist. we developed myself continuously to follow this magazine. very very very very, lots of thanks BLENDERNATION AND BART...

  4. Congratulation! BLENDERNATION my first source in the morning to check what´s going on in the Blender Universe. Love what you are doing for us Bart... Keep up you´re great work :)

    • I'll brag again at 15k :)

But in all honesty: I rarely pay attention to these numbers so I'll probably miss that number. That's why I was excited to see this nicely rounded number today :)

  5. Congrats on the 12600 articles and the 1400 Jayanam tutorial posts! (J/K)

But seriously, the site is one of the core hubs of the Blender community and the service it's provided to me for news, training and inspiration over the past decade has been phenomenal. Blender wouldn't be what it is today without BlenderNation.

  6. Congratulations. A great achievement and one which benefits the community in many, many ways. Keep up the good work.

    Here's to another 14,000+ posts.

  7. The fact that Blendernation remains the go-to resource for anyone interested in in Blender developments after all these years, speaks to both its own and Bart's qualities!

And since Blender is now going through what promises to be a breathtaking metamorphosis, I wager this site will attract much more attention way beyond the traditional Blender community.

So the best is yet to come!
