The Blender Foundation's YouTube channel is back!

Good news: YouTube has restored all the video's on the Blender Foundation's channel.

Last night the Youtube Support team contacted Francesco Siddi by phone. As we understand it now it’s a mix of coincidences, bad UIs, wrong error messages, ignorant support desks and our non-standard decision to not monetize a popular Youtube channel.

Continue reading the full story with the entire background of what went wrong on Blender.org. The PeerTube channel will remain as a test, but the team is too busy to fully build that out right now.

Update: some people report still errors - according to YouTube it can take several hours before the changes are available everywhere.

    Good news but is good have a plan B for a future problem with youtube, is incredible that a giant of internet like youtube have a very bad customer service, is near to none customer service.

      To be fair, Google's never been a company good for customer service. Especially for their free services.

  3. I call that a weaselling back down on their behalf.
    They plainly saw the Blender traffic as something they weren't getting in on and they have a FU 'attitude' toward their clients.
    I am all for having a plan B ready too, just in case... and it might be good to let them know that as well.
