Rendering using the cloud, Laptops and remote Workstations

This video demonstrates how our new beta system for our network rendering system will work. In the video, Chris renders from his surface pro tablet using three computers from his local network, a remote location and the cloud (thanks to recent integration of our addon with BlenderGrid, we're able to render using powerful cloud computers as well). Basically you can construct a render farm from hardware anywhere on the internet as long as its running the addon.

Being able to render with all the hardware you can get your hands on has saved us in the past, the new crowdrender addon and platform will hopefully do the same for you. Check the video to see it in action.

I'm a software engineer, I've worked on numerous technologies over the past 10 years. I started out working on full motion flight simulators and then worked with embedded systems. I now work on building an add-on to support rendering using multiple computers over internet/local networks. I started using blender in 2009 and have done small projects with it since then, however, crowd render, our network rendering add-on is by far the biggest adventure with Blender to date.
