Hi, Blender GSoC student YimingWu here, I'm very glad that I got this opportunity to implement the NPR line rendering feature into blender. Here I present some of the progress. Currently the solution is focused on realtime, later on I will migrate the offline rendering code for accurate line extraction. the progress seems fluent so far, and the feedback looks promising too.
Some artefacts can be seen but there's still a lot to improve. blender's infrastructure turns out to be fairly easy to use when coding.
Suggestions are always welcomed!

Awesome, can't believe this is blender 2.8
Very impressive, congrats! the rabbit is realtime?
Have you plan to combine this with grease pencil, to draw example line? (like in the old cup video)
Can you have line that extends beyond the geometry in the viewport?
1)rabbit is realtime (all images are realtime actually :) ).
2)Many people have suggested g-pencil, will look into it when I get a finer line quality.
3)Could have, but a little tricky
I cannot believe how much 2.8 is maturing AMAZING
this realtime NPR renderer is incredible and super useful for product and furniture design
Awesome !!
I wonder if LANPR can work with shadow like Eevee does in the shading panel?
I guess so, but maybe implemented later

Now that is good news.
:)
Many thanks Mr Wu.
Amazing work congrats!!
Amazing work congrats!!
Any more info on strokes styles, such as image 4/8 with the two Suzannes? Specifically, the one on the right.
will add more input to create variable styles like thickness on lighting direction/ camera distance or such things....
Looks very good and surprisingly responsive. I hope the line thickness is adjustable though - it seems a bit fuzzy at the moment... Thanks for your work. Another amazing development for Blender 2.8 - an epic release in the making.
ABSOLUTELY BANANAS. GREAT JOB. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
Amazing! Very thanks man :)
This is Amazing, when might this be merged into the 2.8 build?
Any news about this amazing feature?
Can I have a beta version of this?
Same here, I would like to test this out.
