what happens if u add volumetric fx to the cycles? looks like eevee might do that automaticaly
That's just "glow". You could achieve the same effect in a cycles render with the glow compositing node.

Sketchfab result is nice too imo !
But EEVEE is definitly THE next step in Blender rendering
What stands out the most is actually in his video description:
"500 Frames (2x GTX 1080s)
Cycles: 13 hours (1920x1080)
Eevee: 20 minutes (3840x2160)"
Holy hell! And EEVEE looks even better than Cycles.
