Verge3D 2.4: Farmer's Journey and Online Store Mockup

soft8soft writes:

Hi,

We promised to never touch games at Blender Conference 2017. Yet, considering that BGE was removed from Blender, we created a small browser game with Verge3D. It took exactly 1 artist, 2 weeks and 0 lines of code to bring the farmer to life! Check it out here (12.6 Mb).

Another notable feature of this release is an e-commerce website mock-up (4.8 Mb) that also was created completely without coding.

    • You can get all game resources: logic, models, textures and sound here https://www.soft8soft.com/get-verge3d/ inside the engine's sdk. You can try to study files on your own and ask something speific on our forum (if you will have problems) we will be glad to help, but there's no detailed discription yet.

  2. How will Verge3d operate onces BI/GLSL is removed. I'm keen keen to keep using your tool. Hopefully, you'll be able to design in eeve and convert to webgl. Is this correct?

    Cheers,
    Ian

    • We believe this a huge step forward, since the new viewport brings many modern graphics features that were previously unavailable in the internal renderer: PBR, post-process effects, soft shadows, global illumination, subsurface scattering, etc – all previewed in real-time.

Verge3D users will surely benefit from the upcoming Blender 2.8 update, and we are going to deliver these state-of-the-art features once it is out. Stay tuned!

  3. Thanks for the Reply,
I'm also interested if you allow for the importing of code snippets from tools like shadertoy? I'm not much interested in adapting the code myself though. GLSL sandbox is another one.

    Cheers,
    Ian
