16

This handy add-on will sync any Krita changes with your Blender project.

ZiC writes:

There's a new version of the plugin importkrita_v099: Import Krita 4.02 to Blender 3D 2.79 and automatically update the changes.

Also, automatic updates are supported by Photoshop (psd) and other graphic formats that are supported by Blender 3D. Supported file formats: psd, png, jpeg, bmp and so on

Very convenient if you have two monitors

  1. Dear Zic,

Can you make video in youtube or blendermarket it's about your addon how painting krita to blender in object bunny cartoon (ear, fur texture cartoon, eye painting, etc) to all body bunny object ? Thank you.

  2. It doesn't work. I only get callback errors. I may have set something incorrectly, or not followed a correct process, but as there is no user guide I can't tell. The video skips so many stages (like having to create the Krita file first). Callback error is (win) 123 which are name errors. It references lines 130, 173 and 189 in the python script.

Note that Krita is now at 4.101 which may be the issue. AT present I'm calling it a waste of money, absent better user instructions.

    Not recommended.

    • Maybe the addon maker not update the addon. You must tell him in their websites or tell blendermarket customer service.

  3. There it is written under what versions of the addon
do not try to experiment and then write what goes wrong
as soon as the time comes I'll check it out

  4. That's true, and thanks for the reply.
That doesn't change my comment though, as anyone who keeps their software up to date should know this won't work with the current versions of Krita (assuming that's what you're saying).
I look forward to any updates.

  5. Not wanting to rain on your parade any further, but there may be some fundamental issues with Krita if the version number is the issue.
4.02 was released 10th of May. Your script was released 30th of May. That's pretty fast, but:
4.03 was released 12th of May. 4.04 was released 13th of June...

in short, I hope you aren't 'chasing your tail'. This would be an awesome ad on (the reason I bought it) but the Krita people might need to be nice as well.

  6. I saved the blend file.
I had the krita file in the same folder.
Callback errors or a failure by blender to even see the krita file.

I'm glad it works for you, but it doesn't for me. Maybe the script needs better documentation. I can't see what you're doing in the demo video. I'm happy to write something up for you if you can walk me through the process. I'll also post any errors I get along the way.

  7. Instructions are attached ... read carefully
Please write down the video as you are doing it ... I'll take a look
and let's move to private messages since this problem is only for you
You are misleading users with your messages

    • Sorry, I'm not seeing any attachments, and I can't see any way to PM you on Blendernation (happy to do so).
I don't think it's misleading to say that something doesn't work, even if it is only due to my own errors caused by poor documentation (see my first post).

  8. With video install guide = mp4 documentation in youtube and websites / blogspot import krita to blender (guide installer). It will be help who buy and install the addon. Email or feature chat customer service of addon will help too.

  9. The issue I had is with my operating system. I'm on Windows 7, the product says 'tested' in Windows 10. Either I misread something or I thought it might work in Win7 or whatever, I don't remember my thinking at the time. However, I have been in communication with ZIC trying to get it to work but no luck. The suspicion is around file reference permissions.
In any case, although it still doesn't work for me, ZIC has updated the product page to specifically say it's not for Windows 7 so no one else does what I did.
Thanks to ZIC for trying to help and at least identifying the issue and acting to prevent it happening to others.
