It has been been a while since the first publication about the blender-osm addon at blendernation.com. The addon has been rewritten from scratch and enriched with new functionality.
The addon provides:
- One click download and import of OpenStreetMap and terrain data with global coverage
- 3d representation of buildings with their height, roof shape and spatial structure taken into account
- 3d representation of roads, paths and railways with width via Blender curves
- Automatic placement of all objects on a terrain if it is provided

Purchased it today and it's AMAZING! It brings Sketchup style Geolocation capabilities to Blender for about as much as you'd spend on a Starbucks coffee. I'll be using this frequently in my archviz work.
