Tutorial: Creating a Holographic HUD

2

PorpitaStudios writes:

A brief look at how I made my holographic HUD in a pod craft made in Blender 2.79 Cycles about 1 year ago - this tutorial was a request from a subscriber and is in two parts. It does not cover the full making of the HUD but looks at the basic technique so you can make your own designs.

Part one covers basic technique using array and simple deform modifiers to make a HUD.
Part two covers the materials, rendering aspect.

A full in depth tutorial of making a HUD in the future will be produced including reproducing a similar look in a game engine also to demonstrate the difference in techniques used.

Glad it helped - it is only a basic one. This year I am going to start a new tutorial series on my Youtube channel making the entire POd design in high detail along with the full holographic HUD etc... so look out for that as it will be more in depth.
