I think you clicked the wrong button when registering, you only need a free account to access it.
When following the link, and trying to redeem the code, I also need to chose a payment plan (I do have a free Skillshare account) for which you need a creditcard.
To me the coupon you gave only gives an extra month on top of the 1 month trial. Yes I clicked on the right link, registered a free account. I don’t think there’s lifetime access and a credit/debit card is still required.
I too same as Ben said, but what if we don’t have a credit card, i think about students which in most case they dont have such cards, this becomes not easy, just thought. But i’m still interested about this course.
I am also (along with everyone else apparently) not able to get this coupon.
I would like this course, but this process seems hopelessly broken.
So, this whole article seems to be a waste of everyone’s time. At least for now.
Sorry guys, I just noticed that since June 2017 Skillshare changed their policy. They ask for credit cards information even if you sign-up as free member. And you will roll in as a premium member for free for 2 months. But I believe when the trial premium membership end, all the free link classes will stay accessible. I have hundreds of students roll in with free links since June 2017 and none of them complain about loosing access to the course.
So to sum up:
1. The coupon code or the free links work, there are about 100 more students already roll in since this post alive.
2. Unfortunately, yes you do have to provide credit card number
3. You will be a premium member (trial) for FREE for 2 months. Meaning you can access any course you like in SkillShare
4. After trial period end, you don’t need to become a premium member. you can go back to be a free member. You can only access free classes then.
5. Even after becoming a free member, my class (with the free link) will always be accessible
