Thanks for this - there's a similar way to do the same thing that IMHO is more effective, especially on image textures with UV coordinates - I believe it's a method that was originally demonstrated by Bartek Skorupa in 2014 - here's a link to a talk he gave: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAUmLcXhUj0&feature=youtu.be&t=23m58s - and here's a screengrab of my node setup
Alternatively, you can just multiply your coordinates by the noise....even simpler...
