In this video we will check out what can Blender offer with the new Grease Pencil tool to create a 2D stylized look.

We are going to be using Blender 2.80.5 Grease pencil branch downloaded from graphicall.org
In this video we will explore the tools that will help us draw and animate on the "canvas".
We will setup Blender to have a 2D workspace and save it as a startup file and Workspace preset.

  1. Damn. The video, according to YouTube, contains copyrighted material from Sony Japan and can't be viewed in the US. Sad to say that this felt too good and from my perspective it was just a teaser. (sigh) But the written 3 page article is excellent and I hope to follow it tomorrow. Def worth a read, even if the video isn't viewable.

  2. This video contains content from Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc.. It is not available in your country. Nice.

  3. International version is on page 3 btw. Sorry about the blocking on page 1. Hope this 3 page tutorial will get you started on grease pencil 2.8.5. This will be a tutorial series so expect more in the following weeks. Thanks.

    • International version is giving the same can't play message. Maybe the long-ish clip of the anime series (was finally able to watch via Hooktube as mentioned by 2Passage) is triggering the copyright denial. A still or two would be okay, imho.
