The Blender Foundation just released Blender 2.79b, a bugfix release that fixes the following issues:
- Fix T54003: Particles - Size and random size not present in "physics" tab (rBa3409d3f53f1d).
- Fix T53478, T53430: Sequencer cut edge case fails (rBf3018322c097f).
- Fix T54204: Wrong selection on Clean Tracks (Motion Tracking) (rBcaa0b0fadf928).
- Fix T54206: bevel and inset operations repeat did not remember offset (rB596f33f801f8).
- Fix T54348: Bone dissolve gives invalid hierarchy (rB865fbe343a906).
- Fix T54234: add BLENDERVERSIONCHAR to .plist (rBb5b5260464f).
- Fix T54360: FFMPEG bitrate not editable for all codecs (rBf4dc9f9d68b).
- Fix (unreported): Fix Error passing context arg to marker menu (rB807663742b7bc).
- Fix (unreported): Fixed: cache clearing when using multiple Alembic files (rB09c88fed1f5).
- Fix (unreported): Fix bone dissolve using wrong envelope radius (rBce51066e47175).
- Fix (unreported): Tracking: Warn when no tracks are selected when creating mesh (rB658fb7f4536).
- Fix (unreported): Tracking: Make object created form tracks active and selected (rB23ffd4ec394).

Looks great! I was hoping this version would support changing font in the VSE (see https://developer.blender.org/D2424) Maybe it will be done in time for 2.8. I hope so.
Crashes on both my laptop -->problem occuring when reading prefs.blend
and desktop (i7+Nvidia 1080) --> problem with vertices number (which didn't happen under 2.79a)
Both machines are running Linux Mint

Selecting high poly objects in main scene view is so slowly and disaster.you must find object in outliner then select it.
also blender need a good remesh modifier in scluptting part.like to Zbrush. in zbrush you can easily get fine mesh after remesh it.
also vertex painting in multi resolution is not possible !
