Hey Everybody! In this tutorial I will be showing you how to create a cool sci-fi grill/panel wallpaper inside of Blender. In this video, we will go over creating the actual displacement texture for our panel, and then set up the materials to get that metallic look. After you're all done, you will have a clean and simple wallpaper which you could either use for your desktop or phone. You could also use this same technique with a few adjustments to create the grill of a car as well!

I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial and learn something new. Thanks for watching!

I've been using Blender for quite a while now. I love Blender and its my passion, that is why I try to share everything I know about it with you guys. There is so much that Blender can do. It is not just a tool for 3D modelling, it can be used for photo editing, animating, and creating games as well. Over the years, I have explored Blender's capabilities and pushed them to the limit, and now I'm here to share those tricks with you. ;)

    • It is true you could use a honeycomb, however that will only work if you want the hexagon shape. By using the technique in the video, you could create the same effect with different shapes.
