We worked on this last year with the Sundance Film Festival, but was only able to release it now. Blender 3D was our main app, with compositing done in Blackmagic Design Fusion. We also use Agisoft Photoscan to recreate the light reflection on some of the environments.

Thanks. Yes, I plan to make a tutorial on this in the near future. The hardest part was trying to make it look and act the way the director wanted.
