  1. What's holding Blender back 1:11:06 ?????????? let me tell you what it does. its the decision NOT TO MAKE QUEST LIKE THIS EVERY YEAR. like ton said in the video recently in Blender 2.8 Code Quest Live Q&A with Ton Roosendaal. if i remember correctly, then said that it would be to much. i mean why???? think about, blender is probably used by millions of people and code quest goal was ONLY 1000 ... so 1000 peoples only buy the rocket. its much to less... or at least it should be made every year !!!! and over longer time range... then we could finally see some amazing improvements that blender lacks behind the "industry standart" , proprietary 3D softwares. and even maybe like the biggest virtual joy part in our current world which is not just hype, is called > GAME ENGINE which could be revolutionary to make games...

SO LETS WAKE UP TON AND DO THIS : )

I really enjoyed this interview. And another huge THANK YOU to Ton and all the devs. Outstanding work! I love having been along for this fantastic ride. Amazing to see just how much Blender has changed over the years. Early on it was tough to wrap my little brain around but it's improved so much . . . and I'm glad I came back to it and stuck with it. Love it!! (Yes, I'm a fan-boy and I'm okay with it. HA!)

Having used most of the big-name 3D tools out there, over my many years, I still prefer right-click selection. Initially it messed with my brain but now . . . I don't look back. It's so intuitive to me. Personally I am a right-click-select fan. My vote is to leave it as is and there are already options to change the UI if you want Blender to more emulate other software packages.

    Long live Blender!! :)

  3. thanks! great watch.
i think, more of these, dev interviews, would be great to hear from people actually behind this god awful thing!

    love it! thanks. (again)
