Hi,

This is my new 3D scene in low-poly style: Autumn Forest. I don't know what to write, so see the movie and images ;) Made, of course, with Blender and Cycles.

PS. Denoising from 2.79 is fantastic.

    • Mountain Mesh:
Lots of fun ways to do this. The ANT plugin (inactive in your plugins so just click it on) could probably get you pretty close. Sculpt out where you want your roads to go.

Another way that might be fun is to use a height map to displace, apply, and decimate a high rez mesh.

      Rocks/Trees/Bushes:
Looks like a bunch of particles. Use group or object in the Render drop down in the Particles panel.
For the variation in color you can use a particle info node and use a ramp.
Weight paint for placing the objects.

      Roads:
Curves are your friend. Lots of good tutorials on how to use those.

      Lighting:
Make sure you're in Cycles. Under the Film drop down on the Render tab set background to transparent. Use something like HDRIhaven.com to find something with fun lighting. Augment as you need with sun lamps. Make sure your HDRI is contrasty and your sun (if used) has a small "size" so you can preserve shadows.
