GarageFarm.NET announces the winners of their Blender Beasts contest!
The dust has settled, and the victors have emerged! Though we received many formidable renders, we've chosen the entries we thought told the most compelling stories, with good conceptualization and execution.
The winners of our Blender Beast ‘17 competition are:
Koos Heemskerk for 3rd place, who will be receiving $200 worth of render credits, 4 models from ProMax3d's high-quality Big Cats Pack, a single user bundle for up to 8k res textures from Friendly Shade, and the Dragon Knight training course by the legendary Pierrick Picault.
Yeshua Nell for 2nd place, who'll be taking home $300 worth of render credits, a social media feature, 4 models from ProMax3d's high quality Big Cats Pack, a team bundle for up to 16k res textures from Friendly Shade, Pierrick's Dragon Knight course, and one course of his choosing from CG Masters.
1st place: Jesse Gayanilo, who as our Blender Beast, will be awarded $500 render credits, a feature on our homepage, a featured article, 9 models from the Big Cats Pack, Friendly Shade's corporate bundle with access to 32k res textures, Pierrick's Dragon Knight course and two more of his choosing from CG Masters.
Last but not least, honorable mention: Nelson Lima Villamil
We'd like to thank all the artists who submitted entries and participated in our first ever Blender contest. We went through a lot of good submissions, and we're excited to see more inspiring renders from the Blender community. You can check out some of them on our Facebook page, and keep an eye on the news about the next contest.
We also extend our warmest thanks to our sponsors, and BlenderNation, without whom this competition would not have been possible. As always, happy rendering from all of us here at GarageFarm.NET!

Yes! It is very inspiring that my work is considered. It gives me courage to continue doing what I like the most: art and technology mixed!
