Commercial: “What Is A Puffin?” for Georgia Aquarium

I would have totally believed that this is a claymation animation, but Peter Mattson pulled off an amazing job with Blender!

Peter writes:

I started this commercial thinking I was going to use claymation. After using Blender to create a storyboard, I figured it’d be easier to just make it with CGI and try to mimic and look and feel of claymation. I tried to recreate the simple animation, camera movements, materials, and sets that would have been used in that world.

This is a commercial for the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, GA.

With the exception of the live footage, it was all done in Blender.
