Visualization of a bridge with Blender

Here is an interesting project, which we from QUADRAFLEX (Berlin) realized a few weeks ago (Nov. 2017) in cooperation with the restorer Dempwolf and the city of Hamburg.

The aim was to visualize the Lobards Bridge in Hamburg as it might look after the upcoming restoration. The lighting design at night was also an important point, as Hamburg prescribes uniform lighting design. Especially in this historical area of the city.
It was based on old drawings/postcards (partly from 1865) and current photos. The nearby park and the Kennedy-Bridge in the background were also taken into account in the visualization.

In addition to the 3D visualization, a virtual reality project was created for the presentation on Unreal 4 (Vive). The data was exported from Blender, textured and extended by some objects (moving cars, trains, boats...).
About 20 people had a lot of fun walking over the water and interactively exploring the bridge and its surroundings.

Our agency is called Quadraflex and we have been working in Berlin for about 8 years. We develop 3D-visualizations, computer games, multimedia stations, trade fair stands, exhibitions....... more information and examples can be found on our homepage: https://www.quadraflex.de/
