I actually found both way to write it and the meaning is the same so…
Maybe there is an English and American way to write it or so?
To my knowledge, “controller” is spelled the same way in both British English and American English.
However, when spelling “controling/controlling,” that’s where we diverge.
Yeah, it’s like a squabble between two siblings, causing confusion to half the world along the way. lol
oh boy, checking one’s spelling on a site like this? You’ve got to be kidding.
Don’t worry, I can understand spelling can hurt some people eyes.
And if we can fix it and make it better, that’s fine…

What do you mean by “…on a site like this”? English is not everybody’s mother tongue (it isn’t for me for example) and I agree that remarks about spelling need to be said gently and with diplomacy, however language is an essential tool for telling the world and it needs to be respected just as much as any other art form. I really don’t like this trend according to which spelling is irrelevant or unimportant especially in a world where the most insignificant news is presented as “urgent”, “unbelievable”, “exceptional”, and that abuse of superlatives is a great example of the lack of understanding of language by a lot of people who write or speak publicly. When words don’t have meanings anymore nothing else has. And spelling carries the origins and meaning of words and therefore needs to be respected. I’m sure if people misspelled your name or your brand name if you have one, or you twitter account name, etc. it would be a whole different story. By making spelling unimportant you act as if there was nothing before you and that there will be nothing after you. Again, everybody makes mistake but the “who cares” attitude is definitely not the solution.

Point is comments should be on topic, it’s not an English teaching site in the first place, just in case you haven’t noticed. I’m pretty sure you might as well correct grammar in almost any thread or punctuation for that matter. I for one don’t give a damn as to how many mistakes I’ve done as long as people see my point and understand what I am talking about. C’mon fellas, what on earth are we talking about?! We should be discussing this tutorial now and be grateful to Pierrick for yet another good one.

When did I say anything was off-topic to begin with? I never even mentioned anything being off-topic, I was responding to the guy who said spelling shouldn’t matter on this site because it’s about blender: “oh boy, checking one’s spelling on a site like this”. How does that make my comment off-topic since he’s the one who turned the conversation in that direction?
