Make Editable Assets with Speedflow

Hi guys, I made a video to show you how to make editable assets with Blender.

I use speedflow and companion because it's much easier and faster with the add-ons but you can do it without any add-ons.

Hope you like this workflow ;)

      • Bonjour, Hi,

Great video and great add-on. One question though, I don't understand how is it possible to do the non-destructive bevel on the S shaped part at 3:45 without the add-on? You add a first bevel to two edges and then modify the bevel on one of them to make it bigger. I'm not sure that is possible with Blender without any add-on?

        Thank you

        • You can play with the Bevel Weight to change the width of the bevel modifier on the selected edges.
You have a limit (1) and what speedflow (and only this addon) allows is to increase the value to have bigger bevels while keeping the previous bevel width identical at the same size.
          This is really usefull !

You can do it manually, but you will have to edit each bevel weight each time.

          An example.

          • Thank you so much for the answer. I never knew about the bevel weight. After doing everything the normal way, I realize your add-on is definitely a huge time saver.

  1. What happened in the 6:10 mark is because the mirror was before the boolean. So basically, what you did is mirror it and THEN apply the boolean only to one side. So if the boolean object was as big as both of them (I know it's irrelevent in this case) or the mirror is added after the boolean (which is what you basically did) then it will work,

  2. Salut,

As I watch the video and looked at how much you rely on the Pie menu, I was thinking, it reminds me of Pitiwazou style!!! Then I notice who was the author!!!! ^^

Cool process! thank you for posting.

    Mathias.
