Hi there,

Did some new study on medieval building design and created this scene. The name of the work is Castle Duurstede, a still existing medieval castle in the Netherlands.

  1. Great scene Rob, beatifull details, looks like an old master painting.
I follw your Udemy course, so sometime... I can something like this, when I do my best :)

    • Disagree here, The composition is good. the main object in the middle, the ruins to the right and trees to the left, and lake in front. Framing the object. Very nice work

  2. Hello
I am from Wijk bij Duurstede and can see the resemblance with the real castle.

Did you use pictures as a reference?

    History info:
The castle was broken down to rebuild a part of the city.

  3. Amazing. This mixture of old painting style and 3d is something is something I wanted to try a while ago... you've made it perfectly. Very inspiring.
